Remploy Furniture Group Case Study

Project: Primary Schools Literature

About Remploy Furniture
As the UK's number one employer of people with disabilities, Remploy Furniture is a highly respected name in the furniture industry. Their branded products and sub-contract manufacturing operations produce sales in excess of £20 million each year. Remploy is the market leader in educational furniture to new schools, colleges and accommodation blocks having supplied over 13,000 establishments in the past 3 years alone. Remploy Furniture also supplies many other private and public sector customers with quality solutions including offices, hotels, hospitals, libraries and laboratories.

Remploy service focuses on providing high quality furniture that is built to last and offers exceptional value for money.

Project Objectives
Due to the Government's 'Building Schools for the Future' initiative, the UK's primary schools market has become an important sector for Remploy, who historically focused on secondary and higher education due to their respective order value.

With 10,000 new schools being built or refurbished over the next 10 years it was important that Remploy softened the market place at an early stage to ensure every stakeholder within a new project understood the importance of the right choice of furniture by choosing the most experienced partner available.

Remploy commissioned Bluesky Media to produce a promotional vehicle to ensure that the message of choice, performance and expertise would be clearly portrayed.

Our Approach
Through in-depth research the stakeholders were identified and a clear brief was drafted for the design team to ensure teachers, parent governors, architects, contractors and LEAs would all be represented through the copy and graphics within the literature.

The marketing message was defined as ensuring it was clearly understood that through Remploy's furniture expertise learning environments would improve which, in turn, would result in an improvement in educational performance.

Our challenge was to mix all these messages within an exciting and eye-catching brochure.

The Result
A 32 page full colour brochure, printed on recycled 200gsm bond card to give it a distinctive yet comfortable feel, portraying a clear message, through instantly recognisable illustrations and colours, mixed with succinct statements and concise copy.
